Flower pressing is a beautiful way to preserve flowers and is one of the oldest methods. Pressing of flowers can cause colour changes, most flowers need to be pressed petal by petal and then reconstructed for best results. White flowers will have a more antique look when they are pressed and some pale pinks can loose their colour. Pressing flowers is a slightly different process to drying flowers that are placed in resin, they are more likely to be subject to colour changes. White roses will dry an invory antique colour with some browning, and some pinks will fade. Pressed flowers will look different to how they were when they where fresh, I do not use any colour enhancements or paint flowers once they have been pressed.
